On 21/1/2020, Kirkuk medical college hosted a scientific symposium held by the syndicates of physicians/ Kirkuk branch, and in cooperation with Kirkuk health directorateat the conference hall of the college. The symposium began with a speech delivered by the head of the physician’s syndicate/Kirkuk branch, Dr. Walid Mohammed Ali, then a seminar on Covid-19 infection and treatment protocols were given by each of Prof. Dr. Sabah Zangana and consultant Dr. Yaroub Shawkat Adhaam. This was followed by discussion session of the internal medicine specialists of medical college, Azadi teaching hospital, and Kirkuk general hospital with the anesthesiologists in order to unify visions and agreement on mutual approach for treatment of the corona patients in epidemiological wards of the governmental hospitals and private clinics, in addition to create a unified protocol at the governorate level for the medications used under the ministerial instructions to be acted upon by thedoctors in the service for the public good.
