On 30/11/2020, and in coordination with the family and community medicine branch, the CME department of Kirkuk medical college organized a seminar about (the prevention of Covid-19 spread), done by Assist. Prof. Dr. Asaad Mubark Jabbar (A specialist of internal medicine and the head of the family and community medicine branch) assisted by Dr. Zahraa Ahmed (A lecturer from the same branch), with the attendance of the dean Prof. Dr. Sabah Zangana and some of the teaching staffs.In the first part of the seminar, Dr. Zahraa covered some axes such as; the spread of the infection in the community, and the preventive measuresamong the medical staffs and ordinary people. The seminar aimed on how to prevent the spreading of the infection based on the(WHO) recommendations, while in the second part of the seminar which done by Assist. Prof. Dr. Asaad Mubark Jabbar, focused on the active vaccination, how it works, the impact of the vaccine, how it is given and how it is store. He also recommended giving the vaccine to the age groups above (60) years old, and to the medical personnel and the security forces to prevent the spread of the disease in the community.
