On 3/2/2020, under the patronage of the president of Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Ahmed Ismail, and the supervision of the dean of  Kirkuk medical college, Prof. Dr. Sabah Zangana, and under the slogan ( Keeping up with the medical updates), with the attendance of number of teaching and health staffs. A symposium about Coronavirus infection held at the conference hall of Kirkuk medical college. The symposium included two scientific seminars; the first one held by the dean Prof. Dr. Sabah Zangana where he covered the introduction to the virus, history, formation, types, routes of transmission to human as well as the clinical symptoms and its effects on  the economy and methods of treatment. The second seminar held by Dr. Khlud Jihad ( M.Sc. in community and family Medicine), She covered mostly the epidemiology of the infection and the historical epidemics of the virus. She also talked about the current situation regarding the infection, since the virus renewed, how to collect the samples from the patients, and how to isolate the patients in specialized wards scientifically to prevent the spread of the infection in public places, and health facilities. Finally, the symposium included questions and discussions about the infection from the audience.
